CrossGallery 지원
hello@orotlab.com
한쪽이 모바일 데이터나 다른 Wi-Fi(2.4GHz/5GHz 따로 이름이 있는 공유기 포함)에 있으면 서로를 찾지 못합니다.
안드로이드에서는 DCIM/CrossGallery 폴더에 들어갑니다.

CrossGallery Support
hello@orotlab.com
Please include your device model and OS version (e.g. iPhone 15 · iOS 19, Pixel 8 · Android 15).
Can't find the other device
Nothing shows up in the list
- Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi. Mobile data or a different network (including separate 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz names) won't work.
- CrossGallery must be open on the other device too.
- Guest networks and routers that block device-to-device traffic (AP isolation) won't work. Connecting both devices to a phone hotspot usually does.
- Allow Nearby devices on Android and Local Network on iPhone, in the device's Settings → CrossGallery.
"The other app is out of date"
The other device has an older version that can't use the encrypted channel. Update the app there and try again.
Pairing
What is the six-digit number?
The first time two devices meet, both screens show the same six digits. Tap "The numbers match" only if they do; if not, decline — another device may be in the middle. After that, the devices remember each other.
I'm asked to compare the number again
If the other device reinstalled the app or is a new phone, it has a new identity. Compare the six digits once more to stay safe.
How do I unpair?
Go to Settings → Paired devices, choose the device, and tap "Unpair". You'll compare the six digits again next time.
Sending and receiving
Where do received photos go?
Into the device's photo library as new items. On Android, they're saved in DCIM/CrossGallery.
Is quality reduced?
No — the default is Original. Nothing is re-encoded, and details like capture date and location stay intact. For quicker sends, choose Large copy or Small copy in Settings to send a resized version. Live Photos sent from an iPhone always go as originals, whatever this setting is.
Do Live Photos stay live?
Yes. iPhone Live Photos play as motion photos on Android, and Android motion photos become Live Photos on iPhone.
A transfer was interrupted
Check that both devices are still on the same Wi-Fi and send again.
Does the receiving app need to be open?
The receiving device can receive while the app is open or while its ready-to-receive notification is showing. On Android, you can change how long it stays ready in Settings.
What is the "Send" tab?
It shows only the photos you haven't sent yet, so you don't lose your place when moving hundreds of photos over several days. If you marked something by mistake, use the ↶ button at the top of the Send tab (Undo, Redo, Mark everything as unsent).
Switching to a new phone
Does my history move to the new phone?
No. Paired devices, sent marks, the in-app trash, and settings stay on that device and are not included in backups or transfers. Pair again on the new phone. Your photos themselves are in the photo library and are not affected.
Purchases and refunds
Does the receiving device need to buy?
No. Receiving is always free; the paid feature is needed only on the sending device.
Refunds and restoring purchases
Payments are handled by the App Store and Google Play; request refunds through the store. Signed in with the same store account, your purchase is restored after reinstalling.
Privacy
CrossGallery has no server, and Orot Lab never receives your photos or data. See the Privacy Policy.
